I've always been amazed by people who could create art with their bare hands, whether it's simply drawing a picture on the back of yesterday's homework, to painting a masterpiece on a canvas and an easel. Art isn't something I have patience to do myself, but it appeals to me. I went to California a couple of weeks ago, and I watched an old man make his living on the Santa Monica pier. He would take a piece of some sort of lustrous metal, then finger-paint a stunning image of the pier itself at dusk. It made a wonderful souvenir to any tourist, and all for only $15. I didn't buy one, however I had left a tip. He thanked me in Spanish and continued to amaze all who walked by with his masterful art. That was when I had realised how art could become a lifestyle to many. If you're an artist of any kind, here's to you. (image credit)
